Job summary

Taiko Acton is seeking a Maintenance Manager to ensure the smooth operation and longevity of equipment and facilities. You will lead the maintenance team, plan preventive maintenance, and manage budgets to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

You will oversee scheduling, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.).
• Proven experience in maintenance management within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of food processing equipment, utilities, and facility systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental compliance.
• Proficiency in using CMMS and other relevant software tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the maintenance team, including technicians, engineers, and support staff.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

As a Maintenance Manager, you’ll ensure the smooth operation and longevity of equipment and facilities within our organisation. Your responsibilities encompass strategic planning, overseeing maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You coordinate maintenance schedules, manage maintenance staff, and allocate resources efficiently to minimise downtime and maximise productivity. Your keen eye for detail and proactive approach enable you to identify potential issues before they elevate, implementing preventive maintenance measures to optimise performance and reduce costs. Through your leadership and expertise, you ensure that facilities and equipment remain in top condition, supporting the organization’s operational objectives and contributing to its overall success.
