Job summary

Field Studies Council Juniper Hall is seeking a proactive Maintenance Officer to lead the upkeep of a busy learning centre set in Surrey’s countryside. The role demands hands-on maintenance, safety compliance and the ability to coordinate with contractors to ensure value for money.

You’ll help manage heating, alarms, water systems and essential site infrastructure while supporting the learning environments and visitor experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in interior and exterior maintenance.
• Understanding of Health & Safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead on keeping the centre safe and running smoothly.
• Carry out internal and external repairs to fabric and fittings.
• Oversee routine Health & Safety monitoring, checks and record-keeping.
• Liaise with external contractors for planned and reactive maintenance.
• Contribute to maintenance planning and the Maintenance Action Plan.
• Support grounds maintenance and site presentation.
• Be part of duty/on-call rota to support customers.
