Nelson Recruitment Services in Birmingham is seeking a proactive General Maintenance person to work across Oldbury, Great Barr, Edgbaston and surrounding sites within a 10 mile radius. Hours are Monday to Friday 07:00-16:00 with occasional weekends; a company vehicle is included.

You will perform general maintenance and repairs to furniture, doors, hardware, and plumbing, fix electrical/mechanical issues promptly, conduct safety checks, maintain records, and lead safety initiatives with internal

Qualificações

• Proven maintenance experience with mechanical knowledge and electrical experience.
• Skilled in reading schematics and working with PLCs.
• Demonstrated welding ability and familiarity with welding techniques.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting methods, and safety protocols.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills in English for documentation and coordination.
• Customer service mindset and collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsabilidades

• General maintenance and repairs across sites (furniture, doors, locks, window frames).
• Fix basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine health and safety checks and maintain records.
• Lead safety initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance across maintenance operations.
