Job summary

Fenwick Limited in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a Maintenance Lead to support the Senior Maintenance Manager with the day-to-day running of the store's maintenance operations. You will work closely with the electrical team to keep the store trading and compliant, both planned and reactive maintenance, and coordinate contractors.

The role involves hands-on maintenance, enabling works coordination, and on-site support with the electrical team, including evenings and weekends when required, while

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or facilities management within a large or complex building.
• A good understanding of building services, maintenance principles and health & safety awareness.
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise multiple tasks within a busy environment.
• IT literate with experience in Microsoft office.
• Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external contractors.
• Recognised Level 3 electrical qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Maintenance Manager with operational workload, reporting, planning and taking ownership of agreed areas of responsibility.
• Act as the first point of escalation for day-to-day maintenance issues, resolving problems where possible and escalating if required.
• Support with the delivery of statutory compliance, inspections and testing across all building services via maintenance team and external contractors.
• Support with coordinating contractors, ensuring that all enabling works are complete in advance of their attendance.
• Working as part of the electrical team on site to ensure that the store is always covered, including evenings and weekends where required.
• Undertake hands on maintenance and utilise the wider team’s skillset to deal with issues efficiently.
