Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Nottingham is seeking a Maintenance Improvement Leader to own equipment reliability and maintenance excellence in a critical production area. This role focuses on eliminating recurring breakdowns, driving structured improvements, and coaching teams to achieve world-class maintenance standards.

The ideal candidate has strong planning and scheduling experience, a track record of reducing downtime, and exposure to TPM/Lean methods in FMCG environments.

• Proven success reducing downtime and improving reliability.
• Experience in FMCG, food, chemical or related highly regulated manufacturing environments.

• Eliminating recurring equipment failures and downtime.
• Driving reliability improvements through structured root cause analysis.

• Supporting engineering projects lifecycle, and new equipment implementation.

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful, large-scale manufacturing operation, seeking a Maintenance Improvement Leader to take ownership of equipment reliability and maintenance excellence within a critical production area.

The Role Responsibilities & Duties: Maintenance Improvement Leader

You will lead initiatives on:

• Eliminating recurring equipment failures and downtime
• Driving reliability improvements through structured root cause analysis

Role Requirements & Experience: Maintenance Improvement Leader

• Strong maintenance planning and scheduling experience, leading a team of technicians and multi-skilled shift engineers around world class maintenance standards
• Proven success reducing downtime and improving reliability
• Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
• Experience in FMCG, food, chemical or related highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Exposure to TPM, IWS, Lean or continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong stakeholder management and coaching capabilities
• Engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience, ideally apprentice trained or with HNC/HND/Degree
