Maintenance Handyperson - Fixed Term Contract / Permanent

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, your core purpose will include:

• Adhering to all training provided, such as COSHH & Risk Assessments.
• Completing quarterly room checks daily, ensuring maintenance standards are met and remedial actions are taken.
• Checking public and back areas daily for maintenance issues and addressing them promptly.
• Developing knowledge of hotel fixtures and fittings.
• Redecorating and refreshing public areas and guest bedrooms.
• Ensuring timely completion of maintenance requests.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance programs.
• Meeting outside contractors and ensuring clear instructions from the maintenance manager.
• Following daily and weekly checklists for rooms and public areas.
• Organizing repairs to minimize guest disturbance.
• Working on own initiative and as part of the team.
• Covering for the Maintenance Manager in their absence.
• Conducting health & safety checks, including fire alarm testing, legionella flushing, emergency light testing, and site safety/security checks.
