Job description

We are recruiting for a fabric maintenance operative with flooring experience to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a prestigious facility in the Liverpool area. The Flooring Maintenance handyperson will be responsible for general repairs of flooring, carpet work, floor tiles, vinyl plus compliance checks, fabric maintenance and stock management. The role is a permanent position paying up to £33k.

Mon-Fri 37.5 hours per week. On-call TBC.

Fabric Maintenance Handyperson Description:

1. Working on flooring repair such as:
1. Carpet laying and carpet replacement
2. Carpet tiles
3. Vinyl works
2. Plus work on general maintenance duties such as:
1. Lamping
2. Fabric maintenance
3. Basic plumbing, patch plastering, patch painting etc.
4. Completing compliance checks, emergency lighting, tap temps etc.
5. Assisting engineers and trades on site
6. Porterage tasks
7. Ad-hoc maintenance duties

Handyperson Requirements:

1. To have maintenance and handyperson experience with flooring skills such as carpet laying, vinyl work etc.
2. Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
3. It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
4. Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks.
5. Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
6. Able and willing to clear DBS check.
