Job description

The position's main responsibilities are:

Role & Responsibilities:

• To carry out maintenance work by way of a wide range of repairs/works using basic DIY skills.
• To undertake routine checks of property and household equipment, and report concerns.
• To undertake general property upkeep such as painting and decorating, window cleaning, and changing light bulbs.
• To install (or assemble/reinstate) and move (or assist with) shelving, furniture, and other household fixtures and fittings.
• To perform manual handling duties, e.g., carrying and moving furniture and equipment in accordance with manual handling instructions and guidelines.
• All work must be carried out in accordance with the current operational, Health and Safety, and Maintenance procedures.
• Responsibilities will also include:
• To assist the ground maintenance team to maintain the gardens and review the timetable of seasons, for example, planting of bulbs, grass cutting, hedge cutting, weeding, hanging baskets, and shrubs.
• To conduct work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, including assessment of the risk(s) relating to the work to be undertaken.
• To provide safe access and egress to properties in the event of snow, ice, flooding, or other minor emergencies.
• To estimate the quantity and order the materials as required, enabling timely completion of works and budget control.
• To support in project planning to produce effective programmes/schedules of work.
• To complete and submit weekly timesheets.
• General tidying and litter picking around the sites.

This role is multi-sited in Kettering and Wellingborough, so a full UK driving license is essential.
