Job summary
Heidelberg Materials UK is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our quarry and aggregates operations. This hands-on role maintains, inspects and repairs static plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation. You will deliver planned maintenance, fault finding and inspections, keep accurate records, and support other sites in the local area.
Travel or allowances may apply. The ideal candidate holds EPIC and NVQ Level 2 qualifications, with welding/burning experience and strong safety
Qualifications
- Computer literate and able to operate basic software
- Strong health and safety awareness with quarry regulations
- NVQ Level 2 in Mobile Plant Operations (or equivalent)
- EPIC certification to operate mobile plant and related safety training
- Experience with burning and welding operations
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair static plant equipment safely and efficiently
- Carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and servicing per standards
- Keep plant clean and in good order, document inspections accurately
- Identify and report defects to supervisor or chargehand
- Operate plant and machinery safely and energy-efficiently
- Complete near-miss and safety reports as required
