To work as a member of a multitasking maintenance team providing professional and technical expertise with an effective and efficient focus on service delivery. To carry out or oversee the repair, maintenance, or installation of complex plant and equipment associated with premises administered by the Trust's Estates department.
This will involve a multi-skilled approach as well as the full range of duties associated with the post holder’s core trade. The post holder will be expected to maintain his/her appearance in line with the Trust dress code, uphold the Trust’s values, and behave in a manner fitting with the responsible position of the role. Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each person he/she comes into contact with in the course of his/her work duties.
The post holder is to carry out day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and improvements to the Trust's buildings in a manner that conforms to statutory regulations and codes of practice, while ensuring the smooth running of the Trust.
The post holder will also be responsible for the installation, repair, and removal of many types of heating and water systems within the Trust.
The post holder will be part of a multi-skilled, multi-discipline maintenance team.
Participation in the emergency on-call will be required by contractual obligation to ensure safe systems and service continuity. Cross-site working will also be required by contractual obligation.
You should have good diagnostic and fault-finding skills and be able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
You should have a good understanding of the work of all other trades, which is essential to maintain the flexibility of the department.
