Job summary

A leading pallet design manufacturer in the West Midlands seeks a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The role involves preventative and reactive maintenance, factory improvements, and liaising with management. The ideal candidate has experience in maintenance roles, strong fault-finding skills, and attention to detail. This is a full-time position offering a salary of £32,000 to £37,000, working Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Maintenance position.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced Engineering manufacturing environment.
  • FLT/Crane Licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative Planned Maintenance of Plant, Machinery & associated equipment.
  • Reactive Maintenance across the site.
  • Implementing Factory Improvements.
  • Liaising with Management and Production Supervisors.

Skills

Mechanical / Electrical Fault-Finding
Knowledge of hydraulic machinery

Annual Salary: 32,000 to 37,000 (DOE)
Weekly Hours: Mon to Fri - 8am to 4.30pm

They are a family run company, producing materials handling equipment for the automotive and manufacturing industries for over fifty years who are looking to strengthen their team.

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Preventative Planned Maintenance of Plant, Machinery & associated equipment
  • Reactive Maintenance across the site
  • Facilities Maintenance across the site
  • Implementing Factory Improvements
  • Liaising with Management and Production Supervisors
  • Liaising with Suppliers (Plant & Machinery)
  • Factory Equipment Installations and Fitting
  • PAT testing
  • Maintenance Engineer Experience.
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance position
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced Engineering manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical / Electrical Fault-Finding Experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulic machinery
  • PAT/Electrical testing
  • FLT/Crane Licence preferred but not essential
  • Strong problem solver with attention to detail
