About the Client

Our client is a leading manufacturer of products supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland.

Job Title: Maintenance Fitter

We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter who will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday dayshift. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to avoid shifts. Over 40 hours are paid at a premium rate.

Candidate Requirements

Suitable candidates will need to be qualified at Level 3 Engineering or similar, with maintenance experience gained in a manufacturing or production setting.

Responsibilities
  1. Carry out maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
  2. Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on machinery to minimize downtime.
  3. Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root causes.
  4. Carry out planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules.
  5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance work.
  6. Record maintenance information using maintenance software.
  7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S.
  8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business.
What We Are Looking For
  1. Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Engineering or similar.
  2. Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  3. Strong mechanical skills, including welding and fitting.
  4. Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors.
  5. Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
