Job Description

Our client is a leading manufacturer of products supplying the construction and residential sectors across the UK & Ireland. We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter who will carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and efficient production. This is a Monday to Friday dayshift role, offering a great opportunity for those looking to avoid shifts. Overtime beyond 40 hours is paid at a premium rate.

Suitable Candidates

Qualified Level 3 Engineering or similar, with maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production setting.

Responsibilities
  1. Carry out maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities.
  2. Perform mechanical and electrical repairs on machinery to minimise downtime.
  3. Fault finding to resolve issues and identify root causes.
  4. Conduct planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules.
  5. Ensure compliance with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance work.
  6. Record maintenance information using maintenance software.
  7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S.
  8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all areas of the business.
Requirements
  • Level 3 qualified apprenticeship in Engineering or similar.
  • Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Strong mechanical skills, including welding and fitting.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
