Are you a Maintenance Fitter looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? At Tarmac, we are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Maltby.

What you'll be doing

In the role of Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for:

  1. Day-to-day maintenance activities including planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
  2. Meeting statutory and SHE standards as a minimum.
  3. Working on a variety of plant throughout the block manufacturing site as directed, on a planned or reactive basis.
  4. Recording all work on the site CMMS system.
  5. This is a dynamic role, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised, requiring good communication skills.

Please note: This role operates a rotating shift pattern of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm. Any prospective candidates must be willing to work these shifts.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • IOSH training (advantageous)
  • Maintaining/replacing mechanical parts including bearings, shafts, rollers
  • Skilled with hand tools, bearing presses, and fitting tools
  • Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry environments
  • Maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment
  • Welding and/or pipefitting (advantageous)
