Position: Maintenance Fitter

We are recruiting a Maintenance Fitter to carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient production. The role offers Monday to Friday dayshift hours, providing a great opportunity for those looking to avoid shift work. Overtime hours are paid at a premium rate for over 40 hours.

Candidate Requirements
  • Level 3 Engineering qualification or similar
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing/production environment
Responsibilities
  1. Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facilities
  2. Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime
  3. Fault finding and root cause analysis
  4. Execute planned maintenance and contribute to maintenance schedules
  5. Comply with company HSEQ standards and eliminate risks during maintenance
  6. Record maintenance activities using maintenance software
  7. Promote best practices in maintenance, quality, housekeeping, and H&S
  8. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all departments
Ideal Candidate
  • Apprenticeship in Engineering or similar (Level 3)
  • Proven maintenance experience in manufacturing/production
  • Strong mechanical skills, including welding and fitting
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, drives, and motors
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
