• Mechanical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting.
• Ability to operate tools and machinery safely and effectively.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Proactive, team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support plant start-up and shut-down routines to maximize throughput.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain equipment to meet productivity and maintenance KPIs.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with planned shutdowns and ensure maintenance tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical fault finding.
• Maintain accurate records using maintenance systems.
• Train and supervise apprentices as required.
• Travel to other local sites when needed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support plant start-up and shut-down routines to maximise throughput

• Train and supervise apprentices as required
• Travel to other local Heidelberg Materials sites when needed (travel allowance may apply)
