We are recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to join our client in South Ayrshire on a permanent basis.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with the existing maintenance team to maintain the plant, minimize plant downtime, and maximize plant throughput.

Responsibilities include:

• Responding to plant downtime to maximize throughput
• Repairing and replacing damaged equipment
• Using IT systems to record work completed
• Fault finding and resolving issues on company equipment
• Participating in and completing summer & winter overhauls
• Engaging in continuous improvement activities and meetings
• Repairing and overhauling plant & equipment as needed
• Completing work permits and adhering to health and safety standards
• Building effective relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Participating in special projects

Candidate requirements:

• Fully Qualified Fitter with factory experience
• Relevant experience in a heavy mechanical facility
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and standards
• Willingness to work a 25/5 and/or 24/7 shift pattern
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in teams
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a strong customer focus
• Proven experience with relevant systems

This role involves a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
