Job summary

Wren Kitchens Limited is hiring a Maintenance Facilities Operative for our Barton-upon-Humber site. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks, and support safety-compliant operations within a fast-paced facilities team.

You should have experience with CMMS, good IT skills, and a proactive, reliable approach. This full-time role offers training and clear opportunities for career progression within the Wren group.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventative maintenance activities.
• Good knowledge of machine maintenance and operation.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing works.
• IT literate with good communication skills.
• Pro-active attitude and reliability.
• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline desirable.

• Carry out preventive maintenance (PPMs) to set standards and update records.
• Carry out minor mechanical, electrical (where qualified) and plumbing works.

About The Role

Location: Barton-upon-Humber

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (40 hours per week), 06:00–14:30 or 07:00-15:30

We are now looking to recruit an additional Maintenance Facilities Operative within our Facilities team based at our site in Barton-upon-Humber.

Main responsibilities:

• Carry out PPMs to set standards and update appropriate records
• Carry out minor mechanical, electrical (where qualified) and plumbing works
• Conduct unplanned maintenance tasks as and when requested by management team
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
• Check functionality of safety systems
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental requirements (including risk assessments)

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to demonstrate experience of preventative maintenance activities
• Good working knowledge of machine maintenance and operation, and of computerised maintenance management systems
• Previous experience of mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing works, preferably within a facilities background
• IT literate with excellent communication skills
• Pro-active attitude
• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline e.g plumbing, joinery or carpentry is desirable
