Job summary

Wren Kitchens Limited in Barton-upon-Humber is seeking a Maintenance Facilities Operative to join the Facilities team on site. The role focuses on prepaid maintenance, basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing tasks, and ensuring safety systems operate correctly.

You will carry out planned preventive maintenance, inspect equipment, and support a safe working environment while adhering to health and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventative maintenance activities.
• Good working knowledge of machine maintenance and operation, and of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Previous experience of mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing works, preferably within a facilities background.
• IT literate with excellent communication skills.
• Pro-active attitude.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering is desirable.

• Carry out minor mechanical, electrical (where qualified) and plumbing works
• Conduct unplanned maintenance tasks as and when requested by management team

Job description

Location: Barton-upon-Humber

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time (40 hours per week), 06:00–14:30 or 07:00-15:30

We are now looking to recruit an additional Maintenance Facilities Operative within our Facilities team based at our site in Barton-upon-Humber.

Main responsibilities:

• Carry out PPMs to set standards and update appropriate records
• Carry out minor mechanical, electrical (where qualified) and plumbing works
• Conduct unplanned maintenance tasks as and when requested by management team
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment
• Check functionality of safety systems
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental requirements (including risk assessments)

About You

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to demonstrate experience of preventative maintenance activities
• Good working knowledge of machine maintenance and operation, and of computerised maintenance management systems
• Previous experience of mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing works, preferably within a facilities background
• IT literate with excellent communication skills
• Pro‑active attitude
• NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline e.g plumbing, joinery or carpentry is desirable
