Maintenance Engineer - Swindon, Wiltshire

£51,000 - £56,000

Working: 163 days a year, 14 shifts a month with a week off after the 3rd rotation

Our client is a leading manufacturer dedicated to producing products of the highest quality. With a strong order book and over £9 million invested into the factory and growth into various export markets, they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Planned maintenance inspections and reviewing parts used
  • Recommending improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules
  • Carrying out safety checks on a range of equipment
  • Monitoring plant conditions, reporting defects, repairing machinery
  • Generating and maintaining compliance to SOPs and risk assessments
  • Reporting on plant performance using systems and ensuring action on non-conformance issues
  • Working on boilers, steam boilers, ammonia equipment, valves & pumps
  • Supporting production & continuous improvement projects
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
  • Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments
