Siemens Healthineers MR Magnet Technology is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of superconducting magnets for magnetic resonance imaging – over a third of MRI scanners installed worldwide have at their heart a magnet manufactured in our Eynsham factory. The business has been awarded several Queen’s Awards for export success, two Best Factory Awards and an IMechE Manufacturing Excellence Award and is justifiably proud of its engineering and manufacturing heritage.

Your role:
  • Respond promptly to facility failures, employing appropriate skills and knowledge to restore plant and equipment to operational status efficiently.
  • Execute planned maintenance activities and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Maintain accurate records by updating the maintenance management system upon task completion.
  • Conduct regular checks and monitoring of plant and equipment, including tasks such as vibration analysis, weld parameter assessments, fluid level checks, and vacuum inspections against safe working practices.
  • Utilise problem resolution processes to address equipment malfunctions and operational issues effectively.
  • Offer design solutions for simple Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) modifications, tooling adjustments, or mechanical problems as needed.
  • Analyse relevant data to identify trends and develop appropriate remedial actions to optimize equipment performance.
Your expertise:
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, and BTEC.
  • Extensive experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer (at least 5 years experience with mechanical systems, understanding of electrical systems).
  • The capability to methodically analyse equipment faults and calmly identify the root cause, then identify and implement safe, efficient and effective rectification plans.
