The Role: Mergon UK is currently hiring Engineer Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Blackburn. This role is responsible for carrying out all maintenance requests for the blow and injection moulding machines during shift hours and scheduled maintenance as required.

Hours of Work: 12-hour continental shift pattern, rotated working 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out maintenance requests during shift hours.
  • Ensure continued operation of both production and secondary equipment.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance as requested.
  • Assist with and complete tool changes when needed.
  • Generate and implement projects aimed at process/method or engineering improvements.
  • Identify and rectify compressed air and hydraulic oil leaks.
  • Conduct quality checks to assist the Shift Team Leaders.
  • Participate proactively in health & safety initiatives within the organization.

To be successful, you will likely have:
  • At least 3 years' experience as a skilled maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and work as part of a team.
