Manufacturing Engineer

Maintenance Engineer / Supervisor

Location: Rhymmi - South Wales

An exciting opportunity to join a successful award-winning market leader, who has supplied high-quality products to some of the most iconic and high-profile projects around the world.

Salary & Benefits:

  • A starting salary of £36,000 Maintenance - £40,000 Supervisor.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out preventative maintenance across the site.
  • Ensure all machines are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Perform planned and routine maintenance assessments.
  • Overhaul, upkeep, and repair of all plant machines to encompass mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics activities.
  • Actively promote safe working practices.
  • Work with contractors where applicable.
  • Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and predetermined specifications.
  • Fault finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures, and parts.
  • Effectively communicate. Keep management and relevant parties aware, seeking advice and assistance when required.
  • Ensure maintenance records are kept up to date.
  • Continuously look for improvements to the service and for effective good practice within the role.
  • Carry out any emergency maintenance required to ensure that when breakdown situations do occur, disruption is minimized.
  • Ensure general housekeeping of the workshop and other areas of work is maintained.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Electrical skills (required).
  • Experience in conveyors, shredders, and recycling equipment is an advantage.
  • FLT and MEWP training is an advantage - Training available on site.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while achieving targets.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Industry recognized engineering qualification/apprenticeship and a formal electrical qualification such as 17th/18th edition IEE Wiring Regulations and/or electrical installation, and an understanding of fire systems. Additional training will be considered for the right candidate.
