We are looking for a permanent Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer to join our growing and highly skilled Engineering team.
As the Maintenance Shift Cover Engineer, you will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in a high-tempo engineering environment, rotating 06:00/18:00 - 18:00/06:00, based at our Telford site.
About The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will ensure that the facilities, equipment, and machinery are effectively and efficiently maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner.
The Main Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 procedures to promote process stability and capability.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance strategies, systems, processes, and procedures to improve equipment reliability.
- Identify equipment issues and advise on work needed and opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot equipment/process problems to root cause in conjunction with team members to ensure rapid resolution and learning.
- Carry out Criticality/Obsolescence assessments and implement action plans.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 5 years' experience working as a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in both mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Highly developed fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in PLC fault-finding and diagnostics.
- Ability to read complex electrical and engineering drawings.
Desirable Skills
- HND/Degree qualified Electrical Engineer.
- Good IT skills - MS Office.
- Able to understand and modify ladder logic.
- Able to write PLC programs.
- Experience in software/hardware integration.
