South West Recruitment Ltd in Poole, Dorset, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a global engineering group. The role covers planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on plant, equipment, buildings and facilities with a hands-on approach to improve reliability.

Shift pattern is rotating: early and late shifts, 37 hours per week with additional hours as required. A formal apprenticeship and a mechanical/electrical bias are essential, with opportunities for development and

Qualifications

• Formal apprenticeship or equivalent demonstrable experience endorsed by a recognised body.
• Fully skilled maintenance technician with mechanical/electrical bias.
• Practical fault finding in a machine shop and repair of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Commitment to safe working practices and working to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Fault find within the machine shop environment and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks on machines and equipment per CMMS schedule.
• Maintain site facilities and the overall site environment/appearance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in plant reliability.
• Work safely, tidily and in line with company policy.
• Perform other duties commensurate with the role.
