Job summary

Suntory Beverage & Food UK is seeking an early-career Maintenance Engineer. You will join a team focused on reliable production of high-quality beverages, working under the line owner and senior engineers in a matrix environment.

Ideal candidates are apprentices or graduates in engineering, with a willingness to learn, strong problem-solving, good communication, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement; training across TPM, SAP PM, and packaging assets will be provided.

Qualifications

• Indentured apprenticeship or similar pathway in engineering.
• ONC/HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
• Recent graduate with relevant engineering experience (FMCG/Automotive preferred).
• Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with process control systems or ability to learn.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to adopt new technology.
• Dexterity and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Right first-time attitude and ability to work autonomously.
• Strong problem-solving ability and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices as part of the Maintenance Engineering team.
• Lead maintenance activities to maintain site quality and zero overdue actions.
• Issue ATW permits when required for contractor control.
• Develop planned maintenance to improve reliability of packaging assets.
• Support SAP PM and other planning systems for improved control.
• Attend annual overhaul periods and support engineering line owner in planning.
• Focus on modular maintenance and self-managed rebuilds.
• Support root-cause analysis and TPM pillars (Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvements).
• Contribute to reliability metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
