Maintenance Engineer Required in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer seeking a new opportunity in Stoke-on-Trent? Do you have experience working with drives or controls equipment?

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work a permanent afternoon shift for a manufacturing company based in Stoke-on-Trent. The working hours are from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). The annual salary is up to GBP 50,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and assess drives and controls equipment, interpreting technical documents to identify faults.
  • Perform repairs and refurbishments following established procedures to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Conduct thorough post-repair testing to guarantee quality and functionality.
  • Accurately record diagnostics, work carried out, labour, and spares using the company's business operating system.
  • Provide on-site support to customers, investigating equipment failures and facilitating workshop repairs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to meet project deadlines and maintain high standards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing drives and controls equipment.
  • Strong understanding of electronic systems and proficiency with diagnostic tools and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • HND or NVQ Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of OEM standards and PLC programming is a plus.
