Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced food manufacturing site in West Wales. This multiskilled, days-based role concentrates on electrical maintenance across production and packing lines, with planned and reactive work as new automated lines are installed and the workshop modernises.

You will handle three-phase systems, motors and control panels, with PLC fault finding and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing setting, ideally food/FMCG.
• Strong electrical competency, including three phase and control panel work.
• Good mechanical capability and confidence with mechanical breakdowns.
• Interest in PLC fault finding and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Work with three phase systems, motors, control panels and electrical circuits.
• Fault find and diagnose breakdowns quickly and safely.
• Support mechanical repairs as part of a multiskilled team.
• Basic PLC fault finding on digital/analogue systems, with training available.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new machinery and future lines.
• Work days, around 50 hours per week with some flexibility.
• Maintain safe working practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
