Are you a Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer from any Manufacturing or Production background, looking to step away from the tools and move into a technical Helpdesk role with a global cutting-edge OEM?

This is an exciting opportunity to transition into an office-based engineering support role, offering a better work/life balance, hybrid working, and full specialist product training. You'll still apply your technical expertise-just in a new environment where no two days are the same.

You'll be joining one of the industry's most respected manufacturers of advanced CNC laser machine tools, supporting high-profile blue-chip clients across the UK. Known for their excellent engineering culture, stability, and clear development pathways, this is a fantastic long-term move for an engineer seeking career growth away hands-on work.

In this role, you'll provide remote technical support and fault-finding on cutting-edge laser machines, including diagnostics across electrical, mechanical and optical systems. You'll work closely with field service teams and provide first-line support via phone and email.

This role suits an Electrically or Mechanically-biased Maintenance Engineer, from any Manufacturing or Production background, looking to come off-the-tools whilst progressing in a specialist industry.

The Role:

  • Transition off the tools into a Helpdesk Engineer position
  • Provide remote fault-finding and technical support (product training provided)
  • Office-based (hybrid working available), Mon-Fri, 39-hour week with overtime available
