Qualifications

  • History in CNC maintenance is advantageous.

Come and join our brilliant Asset Care Team, based at our Scunthorpe site we have an opening for an experienced, electrically biased Maintenance Engineer

All about the role

The purpose of this roleis to support the engineering requirements of the organisation. You will be responsible as part of a team to ensure all mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of the company's state-of-the-art equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer, with an electrical bias, to join our team.

This is a night shift role Sunday 10 pm to Friday 6 am

Specific tasks include:
  • Support all mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of the company's manufacturing equipment and facility services (planned & reactive).
  • Routine maintenance of equipment, fault prevention, finding and repair of equipment and services.
  • Assist in the development of processes and making recommendations on improvements, asset care and developing a lean culture within the business.
  • Analyse equipment failures and suggest cost effective improvements.
  • Support the development to support the implementation of PPM schedules and Operating procedures.
  • Support the development of the Operator's procedures and train them to carry out basic maintenance on the machines.
  • Use of machinery you will be working on is, but not limited to Bandsaw and Cold Saws, drive shafts, drills, CNC Machinery, Machine Tools etc.

You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way.

Essential Skills for the role:
  • An Electrical Maintenance Engineering qualification or equivalent or a time served Apprenticeship - NVQ Level 3.
  • Experience of working in a Machinery Maintenance/ heavy industry background with a very strong electrical bias.
  • A documented history in CNC maintenance would be advantageous.
  • A background in fault finding/ rectification & competent mechanically, with experience of hydraulics & Conveyoring systems.
