JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer / Multi-Skilled Technician with an electrical bias and good mechanical aptitude. The role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing faults on electrical installations, plant, machinery, and equipment on site.

The role is varied but primarily focused on electrical maintenance, including reactive and planned preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems, installation, and testing to ensure continuous operation of equipment and machinery.

The position requires performing tasks outside of electrical work, collaborating with other professionals to improve production facilities, reduce breakdowns, and enhance overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel, and processes.

DUTIES
  • Perform routine Planned Preventative Maintenance and respond to equipment faults for electrical installations, plant, machinery, and equipment.
  • Diagnose breakdowns, including electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
  • Replace parts and ensure equipment functions correctly.
  • Assist with general site maintenance, including woodwork, painting, building fabric maintenance, and other repair projects.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Time-served electrical qualifications.
  • GCSE or equivalent education.
  • Experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Flexibility to work double shifts Monday to Friday.
  • Knowledge of 17th / 18th wiring regulations.
  • Ability to maintain site upkeep.
  • Experience servicing and maintaining bakery processing and packing machinery, including mixers, rotary moulders, conveyors, flow wraps, and carton erectors.
  • Understanding of audit requirements and compliance with legal standards.
