What you will enjoy doing

At our Milton Keynes plant, we are looking to enhance our existing engineering team with additional Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role involves actively working on preventative and reactive maintenance activities within the plant. The main focus is to minimize downtime and ensure high efficiencies within the business unit.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Ensure all equipment, machinery, and peripherals operate efficiently and at full capability to maintain continuous production.
• Perform repairs on machines during breakdowns or as part of preventive maintenance.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and maintenance logs accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
• Carry out duties in line with quality, hygiene, and food safety policies.
• Perform any other duties reasonably required by supervision that are consistent with the purpose of the job.

What makes you great

Skills/Experience:

• Time served apprenticeship in an electrical-biased environment is a distinct advantage.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, ability to read schematics, and understanding of safe working practices in this environment.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, ability to read schematics, and understanding of safe working practices.
• 17th or 18th edition electrical regulations, with full understanding of energy isolation, safe working, and the use of control systems.
• Proven electrical fault-finding skills and good understanding of control systems.
• Experience in a FMCG background and cross-functional M&E multi-skilled work (around 5 years).
• Strong work ethic, and a good understanding of 5S principles in the workplace.

• Proven experience with reactive and preventative maintenance techniques.
• Good communication skills at all levels and ability to work well in a team.
