Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical / Manufacturing) in Stowmarket. You will maintain and operate production line equipment, diagnose faults in mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and perform parts replacement and welding as required.

The role offers Monday–Friday days, with uncapped overtime to boost earnings, plus training and progression within a respected manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 NVQ in a relevant field.
• Commutable distance to Stowmarket.
• Experience in manufacturing/production environments.

Responsibilities

• Detect and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults
• Preform part replacement, adjustments and welding repairs when needed
• Record maintenance activities and ensure workplace safety
• Support production lines
• Coordinate environmental compliance and energy/resource usage
• Coordinate with supply chains, quality and external service providers
