Maintenance Engineer Job, Multiple London locations
As a Maintenance Engineer for this company, you'll ensure the upkeep and functionality of their flats across multiple London locations. You'll carry out a range of repair and maintenance tasks, respond to guest-reported issues, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two years in the same job
- Valid UK driver's license (manual or automatic)
- Plumbing/boiler skills and qualifications
- City and guild qualifications/certifications
- Desirable documentation of portfolio including: Plumbing, Electrician, Carpentry, Locks and Doors
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Check-In & Task Management: Check in with the Operations Manager each morning to review the day's priorities. Monitor and update progress using the company's CRM system to stay on top of active maintenance requests. Keep accurate records of completed, in-progress, and outstanding tasks, reporting back at the end of each day.
- General Maintenance & Physical Work: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across the flats, including fixing door locks and handles, repairing or replacing fridges, fans, and small appliances, unblocking or resealing showers, sinks, and bathroom fixtures, adjusting or repairing windows and fittings, and safely lift and carry heavy objects when needed (e.g., tool kits, flat-pack furniture, appliances). Work independently across various flats while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency.
- Multi-Site Coverage & Travel: Travel between multiple property locations daily, based on scheduled visits and reactive maintenance needs. A company vehicle will be provided for work travel. Maintain flexibility to adapt to urgent issues or last-minute changes in location or schedule. Respond professionally to maintenance issues reported by guests or team members, ensuring timely resolution. Escalate complex or unresolved problems to the Operations Manager with clear notes on steps taken. Coordinate with third-party contractors when needed and ensure the manager is kept informed on all handovers.
