Job description

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Wrexham
Salary: 49,934 per annum
Shift Pattern: Continental Days & Nights (2 Days / 2 Nights / 4 Off)

gap technical is proud to represent a well-established manufacturing business in their search for Multi-Skilled Engineers to join their team at their Wrexham facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Minimise downtime by ensuring regular maintenance of equipment.
  • Respond efficiently to breakdowns and complete planned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and progress on assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering and factory teams to optimise plant performance.
  • Ensure rapid response to plant failures and breakdowns.
  • Adhere to health & safety regulations and maintain compliance with company and customer technical standards.
What We're Looking For:
  • Recognised apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (minimum City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Electrical bias: I.E.E 17th Edition qualification required.
  • Mechanical bias: Must have safe working knowledge of basic electrical fault finding and lock-off/isolation procedures.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience, preferably in food manufacturing or a clean room environment.
