Job description

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Northampton

Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum

Hours: 7am - 7pm and 7pm - 7am covering Mon-Sun - 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join the customers onsite operations based in Brackmills, Northampton.

The Role

The Maintenance Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for:

  1. Ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed in line with the Computerised Maintenance System
  2. Ensuring all information is captured on the Computerised Maintenance System, including booking spares, time, and machine and fault information.
  3. Servicing, repairing and fault diagnosis of all equipment
  4. Identifying future projects and enhancements to improve throughput and capacity and reduce downtime
  5. Identifying spares and replacement machine parts to ensure limited downtime
  6. Implementation of agreed improvements
  7. Ensuring a good level of housekeeping of all automated areas is maintained
  8. Adhering to all health and safety requirements.
Skills and Qualifications

The successful Maintenance Engineer will have:

  1. ONC/HNC or equivalent
  2. Electrical bias preferred
  3. Proficient experience in Engineering and Maintenance
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Effective time management
  6. Strong problem-solving skills
  7. Good customer relations
  8. Ability to work solo and as part of a team
