Job description

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking to take your skills into a fast-paced, high-output environment where your technical expertise will truly make an impact?

We re recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing site in the Newbridge area. If you're hands-on, mechanically and electrically competent, and thrive on solving complex problems, this could be the opportunity you ve been looking for.

You ll be joining a close-knit engineering team responsible for keeping production running smoothly across a range of automated equipment and plant systems. This includes everything from preventative maintenance to urgent fault-finding and machinery upgrades.

Shift:

The role operates on a rotating 3-shift pattern - Monday - Thursday (Days, Nights, and Afternoons), with one compulsory Saturday shift per month and flexibility for occasional weekend support during planned shutdowns.

The Maintenance Engineer role:

  • Diagnose and resolve breakdowns quickly and safely to minimise downtime
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and safety inspections
  • Support installations and commissioning of new machinery
  • Contribute to ongoing reliability and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity and part usage
  • Ensure safety protocols and engineering standards are upheld at all times

The Successful Maintenance Engineer:

  • A strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance
  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or process-driven environment
  • Confidence in fault finding across PLC-controlled systems and modern automated lines
  • Flexibility to work across shifts and cover additional weekend work when needed
  • A proactive mindset, keen to get involved in continuous improvement
