Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a family-owned UK manufacturer in Fleetwood, Lancashire. The role is an 18-month fixed-term contract with a strong likelihood of extension and potential permanent opportunities, offering a salary of £45,559.25 per year.

You will drive reliability-led maintenance to maximise asset availability, support continuous improvement, and operate across production and packaging lines.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualification (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience in Food, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, or GMP-regulated environments is desirable.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement projects. (PLC fault-finding is advantageous)

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established British manufacturing business with an outstanding reputation and exciting long-term growth plans. This role offers an initial 18-month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of extension up to three years and potential permanent opportunities as the company continues to expand its operations.

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient production through a proactive reliability-led maintenance strategy. The successful engineer will be responsible for maximising equipment availability, improving asset performance, reducing repeat failures, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and packaging operations.

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Will Benefit From

Shift Pattern

Initially working Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm before moving onto a rotating 3-shift pattern:

• Week 1: 6am-2pm
• Week 2: 8am-4pm (or 7am-3pm depending on business requirements)
• Week 3: 2pm-10pm
