Contract Maintenance Engineer - Multi Skilled

gap technical are proud to be partnering with a leading National Manufacturing business in their search for a Multi Skilled Contract Maintenance Engineer to support ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond efficiently to equipment breakdowns across production areas.
• Carry out planned and proactive maintenance on a wide range of machinery.
• Diagnose faults using technical documentation and machine history.
• Work collaboratively with production teams and support staff.
• Assist and train operational staff on minor maintenance tasks.
• Ensure machinery is maintained to high standards to reduce downtime.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.

Ideal Candidate:

• Time-served Engineering Apprenticeship (preferred).
• Strong mechanical skills, ideally multi-skilled.
• Previous experience in Food / FMCG / Packaging sectors is advantageous.
• Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills.
