  • Keep detailed maintenance records and reports
  • Perform general maintenance tasks across guest and tenanted properties, plus gardens, as directed; including painting and ground works.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of both Health & Safety and emergency procedures.

  • A degree is desirable
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to HVAC systems and controls.
  • Excellent communication skills and conversational English

  • Experience in the safe operation of various mechanical equipment, or the willingness to complete training.

The role and benefits:

  • Full time, permanent, minimum 80 hours per fortnight, $29 - $33 Per Hour
  • Free access to all activities offered by the Hermitage Hotel after 8 weeks.
  • Generous discounts on food and beverage, available from your first day on the job.

  • Live in Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park, with stunning surroundings and unparalleled views - a short and remarkable commute to work.
  • Opportunities to grow, develop and upskill, along with working in other departments to broaden your experience
