Impact Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role in Wellingborough. The position focuses on a strong mechanical foundation with essential electrical knowledge, working across production machinery and site equipment in a clean food-manufacturing environment.

Salary is £45,000–£50,000 with a day-shift pattern and opportunities for development. Based in Wellingborough, the role offers autonomy and a chance to contribute to continuous improvements within the engineering

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering or maintenance background.
• Good electrical knowledge and ability to carry out basic electrical fault finding.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across production machinery and site equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Fault-find, repair and maintain production machinery including conveyors, labelling and sealing equipment.
• Carry out inspections, servicing and general maintenance to ensure equipment remains safe and reliable.
• Complete workshop maintenance and general engineering tasks using hand and power tools.
• Identify recurring faults and contribute to improvements in machinery reliability.
