Job description

Maintenance Engineer - Electrically Biased
Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch
Shift: Panama (12-hour days and nights)

This is a well-run site with decent kit and a strong engineering team. It's fast-moving, food manufacturing at scale Hula Hoops, McCoy's, and other household names. They're after someone solid on the electrical side to join the team.

The role's about keeping the lines moving, solving problems before they become breakdowns, and getting involved in improvements. You won't be a passenger here you'll have proper ownership of your section and the backing to do things properly.

The job

  • Electrical fault finding across a wide range of kit
  • Working with motors, drives, control panels, robotics, sensors

  • Working closely with a strong team of engineers and ops staff

What they need from you

  • NVQ/BTEC Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering
  • Experience in manufacturing - ideally FMCG or food
  • Confident with PLCs (Siemens or Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Some mechanical knowledge's useful, but this is an electrical role
  • Someone reliable, switched on, and not afraid to get stuck in
