Maintenance Engineer | Private Hospital | Southampton | Full Time | Permanent | 37.5 hours | competitive salary + excellent benefits

Spire Southampton Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our established maintenance team.

Working Hours: Combination of shifts between 7 am and 5 pm Monday-Friday. Occasional weekends required.

Contract Type: Full time - Permanent

As a Hospital Engineer, you will work within the engineering team to maintain grounds, building fabric, building services, and all equipment in a cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with all current national legislation and Spire policies.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Contributing to and assisting in the implementation of a comprehensive, cost-effective, planned, and preventative maintenance/repair program for all engineering services/equipment, utilizing the network computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Identifying, prioritizing, and reporting engineering infrastructure and compliance risks to your Engineering Manager or Regional Engineer Manager.
• Ensuring accurate record-keeping and easy retrieval of documentation for all services and equipment audits.
• Contributing to the energy performance of the site by optimizing the Building Management System and utilizing Spire Healthcare's Energy Remote System (ERM) and benchmarking energy reports.
• Ensuring appropriate maintenance/testing of all equipment and services, including water, electrical, and ventilation, in compliance with current HTM recommendations and Spire policies.
• Flexibility to change hours of duty as per business needs, including on-call duties (1 week in 4), with standby fees and overtime as specified.

• Served a recognized apprenticeship.
• Extensive knowledge of building services.
