Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Manchester is looking for a Multiskilled Engineer with an electrical bias. This role involves maintaining machinery within a food manufacturing environment, fault-finding, and scheduling work with the engineering team. Applicants should have experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance, preferably within food manufacturing, and an HNC in Electrical Engineering is desirable. Competitive salary up to £50,000 offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a Food manufacturing environment.
• Electrical / Mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Experience with PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a tidy and clean work environment with 5S principles.
• Schedule work and liaise with production team to maintain machines.
• Assess and develop the competence of the engineering team.
• General maintenance of machinery.
• Assist other Engineers as required.
• Fault finding on factory machinery.
• Support multiple product lines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Having experience working in a 5S environment and ensuring a tidy and clean as you go policy.
• Schedule work with current engineering team and liaising with the production team to ensure all machines are well maintained and ready for production.
• Assess the competence and future proof the existing small team
• General maintenance of machinery
• Assist other Engineers where necessary
• Fault finding on the machinery within the factory
• Support multiple product lines
