Job summary

Stafffinders' Client in West Lothian is seeking an experienced, electrically‑biased Maintenance Engineer to keep critical production equipment running at peak efficiency. You will perform planned preventative maintenance and diagnose faults on PLC‑controlled machinery in a fast‑paced FMCG setting.

You must have a time‑served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent, 18th Edition, and strong fault‑finding skills across motors, drives, sensors and control systems.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrical engineer or recognised engineering qualification.
• 18th Edition Certification.
• Experience within a UK‑based manufacturing, production, industrial, or FMCG environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production equipment.
• Diagnosing and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Fault-finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems.
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects.

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer ready to take on a hands‑on role where your technical expertise will keep operations running at their best?

We're currently looking for Electrically‑biased Maintenance Engineers experience working within FMCG environments to join our client in the West Lothian area.

Shift pattern:

Rotation 1: Mon – Fri, dayshift

Rotation 2: Tue – Sat, dayshift

Responsibilities in your new role as Maintenance Engineer

As a key Maintenance Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of critical production equipment. Your role will involve:
