Job description

We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical bias to join our Fells team in Lennoxtown, Glasgow.

As part of the Engineering team, this role will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing machinery and equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. The role involves working on various equipment, including high-speed bottling lines and associated packing machinery.

Responsibilities
  1. Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  2. Attend to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and repair machinery to a high standard.
  3. Identify recurring defects and implement corrective actions.
  4. Maintain and update engineering documentation such as plans, manuals, permits, and risk assessments.
Requirements
  1. Recognized engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
  2. Demonstrable electrical engineering skills, including fault finding, repair, and installation.

This role operates on a continuous day shift pattern, working 7 shifts over 14 days from 07:45 to 20:00, with a schedule such as:

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday

The salary is £41,158 per annum plus benefits, including 28 days holiday, a company pension scheme, and a free health cash plan. There is potential for night shift work in the near future, which would include a shift allowance and increased salary.
