Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is looking for an electrically qualified engineer to join our facilities management team in Scotland. The role covers electrical installation, mechanical servicing, general repairs and site support for refurbishment projects.

A valid CSCS card, industry qualifications and a clean driving licence are essential. You will work Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30, on-site at customer sites, upholding safety standards and ensuring all works meet contractual service levels.

Qualifications

  • Qualified electrician with City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2.
  • 18th Edition wiring regulations qualification (2381-18).
  • Current in-date CSCS card or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake planned, preventive and reactive works via helpdesk within set time frames.
  • Carry out plumbing duties on-site as required.
  • Provide technical engineering service for mechanical servicing, repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain other assets/trades as competent to do so.
  • Evaluate performance and ensure proper servicing of contracted equipment.
  • Have basic knowledge of multi-disciplined trades.
  • Perform general building repairs.
  • Support project refurbishment and site engineering tasks.
  • Ensure work is conducted safely and in line with health and safety policies.

Days of Working

Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:30

Key Responsibilities
  • To undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
  • To carry out plumbing duties on sites as and when required.
  • To provide a technical engineering service with the minimum of supervision to the OCS client in respect of mechanical servicing, repairs, maintenance and installation.
  • To undertake the service and maintenance of other assets/trades that were deemed competent to do so.
  • To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
  • To have basic knowledge of multi-disciplined trades
  • General building repairs
  • Provide support to other in-house trades or complete other trade tasks, where deemed competent including minor plumbing repairs, tilling, painting and decorating and wet trades.
  • Support the project team's refurbishment works
  • Support site engineer in undertaking maintenance works including legionella checks and building fabric maintenance.
  • Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation and OCS QSHE policy.
Key Hiring Criteria
  • Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working within Facilities Management.
  • Ability to use electronic handheld devices.
  • Full clean driving licence.
Essential Qualifications
  • A craft qualification such as a recognised electrical apprenticeship such as or equivalent to City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2
  • The current wiring regulations qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2381-18 Level 3 Award (18 th Edition)
  • Valid and in date Grade card/CSCS Card or equivalent qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
  • An Inspection & Testing qualification such as or equal to City & Guilds 2391-52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations
