Job description

Maintenance Engineer (Electrically Bias)

Workshop Based, commutable from Kirkby in Ashfield, Belper, Heanor, Derby, Mansfield, Nottingham, Ilkeston, Matlock or surrounding areas.

Salary: £42,500-£46,500 + 3 Shift Pattern (Monday to Friday, 40hrs) + Earlies, Lates & Nights + Paid Bonus (£1,000-£1,300) + Training Opportunities + Qualifications + Pension (Up to 7%) + Benefits (EAP Service, Cycle to Work, Free Onsite Parking, Private Healthcare).

This is an opportunity to work for an established, well-renowned manufacturer in the Derbyshire area. They pride themselves on consistently investing in training methods and staff development to stay ahead of their competition.

The core responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Maintenance of equipment and machinery across the site.
  2. Reporting to the Engineering Manager about projects, problems and health and safety issues.

The Role:
  1. Carry out maintenance tasks across the site.
  2. Preventative, Reactive and Project work.
  3. Logging non-conformances, faults and errors.
  4. Report to the Engineering Manager for work.
  5. Hours - Early (6am-2.15 pm), Lates (2pm-10.15pm), Nights (10pm-6.15am).

The Person:
  1. Electrical maintenance background.
  2. Manufacturing, production, offshore, marine or engineering equipment background.
  3. Holding electrical qualifications (NVQ, C&G, HNC, HND, 18th/19th Edition or similar).
  4. Knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
  5. Ex-forces candidates (REME, Aircraft, Navy, Marine, RAF) encouraged to apply and will be given training.
