Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Trowbridge, Wiltshire

Circa GBP40,000 (GBP43/44,000 total package - some weekend work mandatory paid at overtime rates)

Monday to Friday 07:00-15:00

Overtime paid at x1.5 and x2, 25 days holiday + banks, pension, life insurance, on-site canteen serving hot & cold food

Adept:us are excited to have partnered with an established FMCG manufacturing business. The company boasts a modern, clean facility and a strong local presence.

We are currently seeking an electrical maintenance engineer to join the production maintenance team. On-site training on specific equipment and further skills development (multi-skilling, BOAS certification, etc.) will be provided.

The Role:

As part of an 18-person engineering team, your main objective will be to ensure the efficient operation of all production equipment. Responsibilities include:

  • Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnose issues, and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Planned Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance to keep equipment reliable and operational.
  • Equipment Support: Assist with installation and modification of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide training, coaching, and support to production and operational staff.

The Requirements:

This role is suitable for an experienced or qualified engineer, or someone with some exposure to service/maintenance seeking to develop a career in the industry. Additional requirements include:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in electrical engineering.
  • Electrical bias with experience diagnosing faults in electrical systems and machinery installations.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Manufacturing industry experience (beneficial).
