Maintenance Engineer

Salary: Up to £55,000

Shift Pattern: Continental (35 hours per week)

Location: Bristol Area

Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and expanding manufacturing business with multiple UK and international sites, producing high-quality products for some of the world's leading brands.

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in daily operations, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for the engineering team.

Responsibilities:
  1. Identify failure modes of plant equipment and restore operations safely and efficiently.
  2. Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns.
  3. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve long-term issues.
  4. Manage spare parts using the maintenance system, including storing and retrieving parts.
  5. Identify electrical failure modes and recommend preventive measures.
  6. Follow maintenance schedules and document work using notifications.
Requirements:
  1. Experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing.
  2. Motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of motivating others.
  3. Ability to work under pressure.
  4. Accurate and timely reporting skills.
  5. 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  6. Knowledge of good engineering practices.
  7. NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
